CHAPS Receives $600 Donation From HKPS

HelpKidsPlaySports.org (HKPS) made a 4th annual donation of $600 to the Center for Horsemanship And Personal Success (CHAPS) to help waive participation fees for underfunded local youth in need of equine therapy. 

CHAPS, based in Sanford, FL, is a 501c(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated to educating, empowering and enriching the community through therapeutic riding programs for youth."Therapeutic horseback riding is the use of horses and equine-assisted activities in order to achieve goals that enhance physical, emotional, social, cognitive, behavioral and educational skills for people who have disabilities," stated Lori Johnson, a PATH Certified Riding Instructor at CHAPS. HKPS Makes 6th Annual Donation to Oviedo Babe Ruth

HelpKidsPlaySports.org (HKPS) made a 6th annual donation to Oviedo Babe Ruth Baseball & Softball (OBR) this past week. The $750 donation was made on behalf of HKPS board members and supporters.

Oviedo YMCA Receives 5th Annual Donation from HKPS for $1,000

HelpKidsPlaySports.org (HKPS) recently presented the Oviedo YMCA with a donation of $1,000. This is the fifth year HKPS has made a donation. The funds were given to specifically help waive league fees for deserving kids who want to play in the Y sports programs but can't afford to pay. Kevin Masih, founder of HKPS, Lance Ragland, co-founder, James Rudolph, co-founder presented the check to Oviedo YMCA Executive Director, Kristen Cole. CF Gliders Receive $600 From HelpKidsPlaySports.org

Kevin Masih, president of HelpKidsPlaySports.org (HKPS) announced today that the Central Florida Gliders recently received a 5th annual donation of $600. The funds were given to help waive fees for deserving kids who want to participate in track or cross country, but are finding it difficult to pay. Founded in 1989 by Craig Wise, the Gliders are an Altamonte Springs nonprofit Track & Field/Cross Country Club serving young athletes in our area.


The Gliders and Gliders' alumni have achieved success in local, state, national, and international competition and is open to boys and girls age 9 and older. The club is run by volunteer coaches, assistants and parents. For more information, go to www.cfgliders.com. Their 26th Annual Spring Track Classic recently took place last month at Lake Brantley High.

HelpKidsPlaySports.org (HKPS) recently donated $2,000 ($500/each) to four local youth sports organizations to waive fees for underfunded kids. Each organization has received multiple donations from HKPS over the years. These donations are made possible by supporters of HKPS--donations like these are a result of their generosity and support.

CHB Basketball (http://www.chball.com): CHB is a local non-profit organization that focuses on developing student athletes via basketball.

Class Athlete, Inc. (www.classathlete.com): Class Athlete facilitates over 1,000 area student athletes in soccer, flag football, and basketball.

Oviedo Little League (www.oviedolittleleague.com): Oviedo Little League serves about 300-400 families and players.

Double Down Athletics (www.doubledownathletics.com): Boys and girls gymnastics, tumbling, aerial arts, dance & cheer.

Lake Howell Pop Warner Football & Cheer Receive 4th Annual Donation

HelpKidsPlaySports.org (HKPS) recently presented Lake Howell Pop Warner Football & Cheer with a 4th annual donation of $500. The funds were given to help waive expenses for deserving kids who want to participate in football or cheer, but are finding it difficult to pay. The Hawks are part of the Pop Warner Youth football and cheer program and a member of the Mid Florida Division. Oviedo Parks & Recreation offers the following sports as part of their programs; tennis, baseball/softball, basketball, cheerleading, flag football, football, soccer & volleyball.
